Montezuma
Montezuma is a town created entirely around the beach. Here, you have to leave the car behind and walk, ride a bike, or even swim and surf. The warm ocean waters and the active jungle nearby have made this a favourite spot for more naturalistic and adventurous tourists.
While it does offer most of the mainstream tourist attractions, its culture is also unique and influenced by inhabitants from many countries who have brought along customs such as practicing yoga, volunteering, vegan eating, and a certain island atmosphere.
This area still has a town’s infrastructure, which is definitely part of its charm. It’s the magic of feeling as though you’re in the middle of nowhere.
